A LESSON IN CARING

1.- IN WHAT WAY DO YOU THINK THE AUTHOR AND HIS DAUGHTER BENEFITED FROM THE VISITS?
--- In my opinion the author and his daughter benefited from the visits, because right now they can see poverty from a different angle and that permits them to interact with people who can make them better persons in many ways with good feelings and I also think that people who do this kind of jobs, their lives change for a better and sooner or later they are rewarded.

2.- WHAT DO YOU THINK MOTIVATED THE AUTHOR TO BEGIN DOING VOLUNTEER WORK?
--- From my point of view the author got motivated, because he saw that his daughter was interested in helping needly people and that makes her daughter feel happy and excited.

3.- WOULD YOU CONSIDER THE AUTHOR A HERO? WHY OR WHY NOT?
--- Definitely I consider the author a hero, bacause to me a hero is a pearson who has the courage to be kind to people at any situation, and the author had the opportunity to either stay at home or make the difference by giving others unforgettable moments.

MICHAEL JORDAN

Michael Jordan was a phenomenal athlete with a unique combination of grace, power, artistry and improvisational ability, Michael Jordan has single-handedly redefined the NBA superstar.

A summary of Jordan's basketball career inevitably fails to do it justice. The 6-6 Brooklyn native attended high school in Wilmington, North Carolina, where he was cut from the basketball team as a sophomore. He spent his college career at North Carolina, playing for an NCAA Championship team as a freshman and hitting the game-winning shot in the title game. He was named College Player of the Year by The Sporting News in both 1983 and 1984 and won the Naismith and Wooden Awards in 1984. After his junior year he was chosen with the third overall pick in the 1984 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls.

More than just a scoring machine, Jordan also showed that he was a leader and a winner by guiding Chicago to a trio of NBA Championships. Prior to his retirement he had averaged below 30 points per game in the postseason only once (29.3 ppg in his rookie year). In the 1985-86 postseason he poured in an astounding 43.7 points per contest. He left basketball temporarily in 1993 as a three-time Finals MVP, and he owned a career playoff average of 34.7 points per game, the best in NBA history. He also had two Olympic gold medals to show for his participation on Team USA in 1984 and 1992.

Despite not playing for three seasons from 1998-99 through 2000-01, Jordan was still probably the most recognizable athlete in the world during that time.

Some oh his career highlights are:

Five-time NBA Most Valuable Player (1987-88, 1990-91, 1991-92, 1995-96, 1997-98)Ten-time All-NBA First Team selection (1986-87 to 1992-93, 1995-96 to 1997-98)Selected in 1996 as one of the "50 Greatest Players in NBA History"A member of six Chicago Bulls NBA championship teams (1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93, 1995-96, 1996-97 and 1997-98)Six-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Participated in 13 NBA All-Star Games (1985, 1987-1993, 1996-98, 2002-03), starting 13 times, and missed another due to injury Named the MVP of the 1988, 1996 and 1998 NBA All-Star Games.

WHY LOOK LIKE EVERYONE ELSE?

Everybody has a different way to dress up, but most of the people wear usual or either casual clothes so now everytime you get dress think about it and try to impress others by looking different but feeling comfortable at the same time of course.
Make your own style, the important thing here is that you don´t have to follow any trend in order to feel you´re in or you´re like everybody else, just be yourself and feel comfortable that´s all that matters.
There is no law that tells you what to wear or not so wearing comfortable clothes is not a crime, just feel free to use whatever you like to wear and at the same time it´s going to make you look original so now ask to yourself why look like everyone else?.

MY BEST FRIEND

My best friend, Orbelin, and I have many common ideas. We both like to play soccer and we also like to go party very often specially on weekends. Whenever I´ve a problem at any situation he always stands by my side cheering me up.
In my opinion friends are like brothers and sisters.
The differences between Orbelin and me aren´t that significant. Right now he is studying hard because he wants to become a Doctor, myself in a near future I would like to be an English teacher, because I enjoy working with children. Orbelin is a very organized person and I´m a little bit disorganized. He´s talkative, but I´m very quiet and shy.
Between our differences we still have a lot of in common, we both like to play video games we can play all day long, we also like to travel and visit new places, we are planning this december to visit Guanajuato.
Although our differences, we have to much in common so that makes our friendship easier. Every time we see each other we just try to have fun and enjoy our lives.
