Cell phones vs Telephones

Both cell phones and telephones have changed our lives for good, in order to make our communication easier.Telephones since the very beginning came to improve and start our communication world, on the other hand cell phones are the touch of technology that communication needed for a bigger impact.

Cell phones and telephones make possible that people nowadays can communicate to every corner of the world. Most of the people have either a cell phone or a telephone.

The differences between the telephone and the cell phone is that on telephones you can talk without charging the battery and you do not have to worry too much about the time.Cell phones on the other hand helps you more , because you can use it whenever and wherever you want it , also you can send text messages, and nowadays even you can check your e-mail; and not just that you can take pictures, record videos, listen to music , and play videogames. From my point of view no matter what both telephone and cell phones are very useful and have become indispensable for people. Although cell phones can do much more than telephones, I don’t doubt that in a near future telephones will have a higher technology.

"A REAL NIGHTMARE !"

This is a story that my friend Alba and me did for the class of Teacher Ana Maria. hope you like it....

"No! it wasn't a dream! I'm sure there was something at the window!" I told my mother as she tried to comfort me in her arms. It wasn't very long ago that we had moved into our new house in Colorado, during that time nothing that nerve wrecking had ever happened to me. My room was just like any other room in the house never in my mind did I think that my room was going to become one of the most memorable rooms in my entire house.
It was about 11:30 p.m. when I was getting ready to go bed, like any other night I put on my pajamas, bushed my teeth and tucked in to my bed, which was right next to the only window in my room. Everything was normal until I turned off the lights from my nightstand. I laid there for about a minute with my eyes closed but still conscious of what was happening. Suddenly a slightly noise make me open my eyes I turned slightly toward the window since that’s where the small noise was coming from. I didn’t pay much attention to it since I thought it was our dog that might have been loose. But as I listened carefully it sounded like footsteps walking over dry leafs and grass and they seemed to be getting closer every time. That's when I started to get scared. Just when I was about to get up and calmly tell my parents , I heard a loud "thump!" on the window followed by the most horrifying and slow screeching noise. At that time I turned again slightly toward the window and saw a big figure on the window. At that moment I couldn't take it anymore and I screamed as loud as my lungs let me "HELP!" in less than five seconds my mother and my father came running through the door, at that time the only words that came out of my mouth were "there's someone at the window" immediately my father went outside to see if anyone was in our back yard and also to check behind the fence that surrounded our house. While my mother got me in her arms and tried to get me to explain what had happened. I was shaking and very pale looking; my mother took me to the kitchen to give me a glass of water to try to get me to stop shaking and to see if I got my color back. A few minutes later, just as I was finishing the glass of water mom had given me; my dad stepped in and said he had checked everywhere and that there was nothing there. I asked him if maybe it could have been our dog and he answered, "I too thought it was the dog, but I just checked and Wolf is still tied up in the garage there's no possible way it was him maybe it was some other animal". He tried to explain although as soon as he said that every hair in my body stood up because I knew the figure I saw wasn't an animal. My parents were convinced it was all in my imagination or that maybe it was all just a nightmare I had. They tried to convince me that I was just dreaming but I am more than sure that what happened that night was real. That night I slept with my parents and the next day my dad rearranged the room and put up a light outside the house so no animals would come near. Many years have passed since that incident but I still remember it like if it were yesterday. Even though nothing like that ever happened again in that house I still know there was something out there just like there was something in me that told me that what ever was out there was not from this world or was it?.

CORRECTIONS FROM MY OLD POST

It´s true that nowadays talevision is becoming more a need than a luxury for people.
In my case television was almost everything for me, because you can always find something intersting to watch in it: like movies, sports, news, etc...
Also, there are things that goes around television, for instance my friends and I usually talk about tv programs.
I have to say that television right now "doesn´t exist for me anymore" because I don´t have enough time to watch it, due to school and that thanks to God, I finally find a job hahaha, so now I have the experience of living without tv. I have to tell you that at the very begining it was kind of hard to be without it, because whether you like it or not you miss your favorite programs, tv series and so on. But now I realized that television is not everything, that there is a whole world outside to explore. So now whenever I have some free time I try to do something fun, look for new hobbies, places, friends instead of being trapped in my little tv world.

THAT MAY BE THE SEASON

I'm not even mad the Bolts lost on sunday to the Stillers. I'm upset, sure, because they could have won the game. But let's be honest, to have expected the Chargers to roll into the 'Burgh, a city they've never won in during the regular season, and beat the Stillers in a snowstorm, would have been courting complete fantasy. As a fan that's a game you put in the probable loss column and then root like heck for a surprise victory. The Bolts had a chance to deliver on that surprise but didn't get the job done, mostly due to a few great plays by Troy Polamalu and a few extremely dicey plays by Phil Rivers.

What really got me angry is that yesterday the Broncs' win in Atlanta. Are you kidding me? You can't beat Denvers team on its fifth string running back on your home turf? Unacceptable.

There are many reasons why the Bolts likely aren't making the playoffs this season, but two of the biggest reasons may end up being the failures of Cleveland and Atlanta to win home games against the Broncos.

GOING TO THE BEACH WITH MY FRIENDS

Our last day on the beach was very nice. We weren't in a hurry and we really enjoyed ourselves. We arrived on the beach at about 10 am to find the tide pretty high still. So we set up our chairs just outside the tide's reach. Of course by the middle of the afternoon, the tide had gone out quite a bit so now our chairs were pretty far from the water's edge.
At one point, Felix came to us and told us he had to pee. Instead of go and look for a bathroom, we told him to just go out and pee in the ocean.
In a few moments, we said "Hey, check out Felix". He had walked just to the edge of the water, ankle deep, and dropped his pants. There he stood, using the ocean as his personal urinal, and us without a camera hahaha what a day we had lots of fun!!!!

EAGLES

As we all know already many animals are now in danger of becoming extinct .

One animal that is in danger of becoming extinct, just to name one is the Eagle.

From my point of view the better way to protect Eagles is by raising substantial funds for a project to protect their environment and avoid bothering them.

On the other hand a law must be created, in order to decrease the illegal trafficking and the damage of their environment. with though laws, authorities and community will be forced to work together in order to help endered species.

Well this is my opinion of how we can protect Eagles, of course we should protect all kind of animals, but we have to take that big step so we can ensure a better live for our kids in the near future.

HALLOWEEN

The Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom, and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1. This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death. Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. On the night of October 31, they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth.

During the celebration, the Celts wore costumes, typically consisting of animal heads and skins, and attempted to tell each other's fortunes. When the celebration was over, they re-lit their hearth fires, which they had extinguished earlier that evening, from the sacred bonfire to help protect them during the coming winter.
By the 800s, the influence of Christianity had spread into Celtic lands. In the seventh century, Pope Boniface IV designated November 1 All Saints' Day, a time to honor saints and martyrs. It is widely believed today that the pope was attempting to replace the Celtic festival of the dead with a related, but church-sanctioned holiday. The celebration was also called All-hallows or All-hallowmas (from Middle English Alholowmesse meaning All Saints' Day) and the night before it, the night of Samhain, began to be called All-hallows Eve and, eventually, Halloween. Even later, in A.D. 1000, the church would make November 2 All Souls' Day, a day to honor the dead. It was celebrated similarly to Samhain, with big bonfires, parades, and dressing up in costumes as saints, angels, and devils. Together, the three celebrations, the eve of All Saints', All Saints', and All Souls', were called Hallowmas.
